Sir Sam Jonah; The Embodiment of Intellectual Dishonesty and Death of Ghana’s Mining Industry

Many a Ghanaian would not find it difficult describing Sir Sam Jonah as an intellectually dishonest man who has placed his selfish interests above the interests of the country he professes to love.

Sam Jonah has caused more harm than good to Ghana, and after making millions for selling Ghana, he continues to engage in moves which rake in millions of dollars to him to the detriment of the growth, development and prosperity of Ghana.

Sam Jonah, at Ibrahim Mahama’s illegal takeover of Black Volta Gold Project owned by Azumah Resources Ghana Limited, touted how important it is for local firms to be at the epicentre of owning mining firms and concessions.

He said, “Ownership matters. Equity matters and national pride demands that our people be at the heart of our mineral wealth”.

Is it not ironic that this same Sam Jonah was the one who convinced President Rawlings to sell all our Ashanti Gold shares to foreigners to acquire KNIGHTHOOD?

When did it occur to him that local firms must own mining and mineral rights when he was the same person who plunged Ashanti Gold into an abyss and bankruptcy?

It is shameful, to say the least, that Sam Jonah is now the spokesperson for Ibrahim Mahama’s Engineers & Planners in their forcible acquisition of Black Volta Gold Project.

A nation-wrecker in the shape of Sam Jonah is the one trying to convince Ghanaians to aid the state capture being engineered by John Mahama with Ibrahim as the one fronting for him.

Just imagine for a second what Sam Jonah would have said if any of the family members of President Akufo-Addo had attempted to take over a mining firm without paying for it.

Sam Jonah must be treated like a plague who doesn’t need to go near anything Ghana, for he is a real enemy of the state of Ghana!
