Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, has expressed strong confidence in Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s ability to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to victory in the 2028 elections.

Speaking ahead of the party’s presidential primaries in January, Mr. Korsah described the former Vice President as the most experienced and marketable candidate, having already been tested and proven through years of service and public scrutiny.

“Dr. Bawumia has served the party diligently and performed creditably as Vice President. He has already taken the first step toward the presidency, and now he needs to take the next, with our full support,” he stated.

He explained that Ghanaian voters often take time to embrace presidential candidates, adding that Dr. Bawumia has demonstrated the humility, patience, and resilience required for national leadership.

“Why should we overlook someone Ghanaians already know and trust for someone untested?” he questioned.

The Techiman South MP also highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s popularity, asserting that aside from John Dramani Mahama, no politician in Ghana is as widely recognized.

“Everywhere we go, people know him. We have already marketed him. Choosing a new candidate means starting from scratch,” he said.

Mr. Korsah therefore urged delegates in Techiman and across the Bono East Region to give Dr. Bawumia overwhelming support, stressing that his leadership would ensure unity and progress for the NPP ahead of the 2028 general elections.
