Ghana Premier League side Nations Football Club have shown head coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and his assistant Johnson Smith the exit door after a disappointing start to the 2025/26 league campaign.
The decision was officially announced by the club on Sunday evening, shortly after their narrow 3-2 victory over Techiman Eleven Wonders — a win that wasn’t enough to save the technical duo.
“Nations FC have mutually parted ways with both Head Coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle and Assistant Coach Johnson Smith.
We thank them for their service to the Club. The club will not make any further comment on this topic,”
the club stated in an official post on X (formerly Twitter).
Nations FC have endured a turbulent start to the season, managing only two wins in seven games, with two draws and three defeats rounding out their form.
For a team that nearly clinched the Ghana Premier League title last season, the slow start has fallen short of expectations, prompting management to act swiftly.
Sources say the club is already working on assembling a new technical team ahead of their next league fixture.
