The Black Queens will compete in the Pink Ladies tournament in the United Arab Emirates as part of their preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

Scheduled from February 28 to March 6, the tournament will give the team a competitive platform to fine-tune tactics and assess player readiness. Participating teams are expected to include Russia, Hong Kong, and Tanzania.

Coach Kim Lars Björkegren plans to use the event to evaluate both experienced players and emerging talents as he finalizes the squad for the continental championship. The tournament will also expose the team to diverse playing styles and high-intensity match scenarios.

The Black Queens are set to depart for the UAE soon, with the official squad list to be announced in the coming days.
