ACCRA – The National Youth Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Salam Mustapha, has urged Ghanaian youth to protest what he calls “selective justice” and “state-sponsored harassment” under the Mahama administration.

At a press conference on Friday, September 19, Mustapha accused security agencies of targeting NPP members through politically motivated arrests and harsh bail conditions, while showing leniency toward National Democratic Congress (NDC) affiliates.

“Our country is being destroyed. The youth of Ghana are no longer safe. They cannot speak. We will resist oppressive rule”, Salam lamented.

He cited alleged threats and assaults by NDC members, including an incident involving Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin and NPP Vice Chairman Alhaji Osman Masawudu.

Calling for mass participation in a September 23 protest, Mustapha issued a clarion call to the youth of Ghana, “Rise and demonstrate… for our collective safety, that will build a better society for Ghana.”
