TOKYO – Ghana’s 4×100m men’s relay team finished fourth at the 2025 World Athletics Championships, narrowly missing out on a medal.

The team, made up of Ibrahim Fuseini, Benjamin Azamati, Joseph Paul Amoah, and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu, ran a time of 37.93 seconds in the final.

They had earlier qualified with 37.79 seconds in the heats.

The United States won gold with a time of 37.29 seconds — the fastest in the world this year.

Canada took silver with 37.55 seconds, and the Netherlands claimed bronze with a national record of 37.81 seconds.

In the women’s high jump, Ghana’s Rose Yeboah finished 15th after failing to clear 1.93 metres.

Despite that, she became the first Ghanaian in 20 years to reach a World Championships final in an individual event.
