Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye DC, has confirmed his readiness to appear before the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Disciplinary Committee following his referral for alleged misconduct.
The NPP had earlier referred Abronye to the Disciplinary Committee over alleged defamatory comments against Kennedy Agyapong and false claims against the party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua.
The party said his conduct was “unbecoming” and had brought the party’s image into disrepute.
The Disciplinary Committee is expected to set a date for the hearing.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 30, the Bono Regional Chairman said he is fully prepared to face the committee and defend his actions.
He also indicated his intention to provide evidence of what he described as “antichrist actions” by party member Kennedy Agyapong, which he claims have harmed the NPP’s unity and integrity.
“I hereby write to indicate my full preparedness and willingness to appear before the Committee to comprehensively lay bare and substantiate the antichrist actions and inactions of Hon. Kennedy Agyapong,” Abronye stated.
He further proposed that the disciplinary hearing be made public and broadcast live, allowing party members across the country to observe the proceedings for transparency.
