The Ghana Supporters Union has cautioned the public to disregard messages circulating on social media claiming that the group has opened visa applications and appointments for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States.

In a statement signed by its president, Hajj Moro Issaka Polo, the group said some individuals are falsely using its name to solicit money from unsuspecting football fans under the guise of processing USA visa fees and appointments for the upcoming tournament.

“The Ghana Supporters has not opened any visa application or collection process for the 2026 World Cup,” the statement said. “Any information suggesting otherwise is false and should be ignored.”

The group stressed that the individuals behind the claims are not affiliated with them, and their messages do not represent the official position of the Ghana Supporters. It added that the association will not be responsible for any losses suffered by people who fall victim to the fraudulent activity.

The statement assured fans that the Ghana Supporters Union will provide credible updates in due course regarding any official travel or visa arrangements for the World Cup.
