A senior lecturer at Kumasi Technical University, Dr. Forkuo, has hailed former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as a “genius leader” whose visionary ideas have transformed Ghana’s economy and digital landscape.
Speaking on Wontumi TV’s morning show, Dr. Forkuo praised Dr. Bawumia as the brain behind some of the country’s most forward-thinking policies in recent years.
“God has been the mark hall for the sitting President, John Mahama, but it was Bawumia who taught Ghanaians how to use gold for barter trading, and how to use platforms like Uber, Bolt, and Yango to reduce okada usage — turning riders into delivery agents who can earn money,” he said.
According to Dr. Forkuo, Dr. Bawumia’s digital transformation agenda has modernized Ghana’s transportation and delivery systems, creating new jobs and expanding participation in the economy.
He also noted that Bawumia’s economic foresight mirrors global financial practices:
“Japan has converted about 50% of its dollar reserves into gold to restore its wealth — and it’s not only Japan. Many developed countries are doing the same. If Ghanaians adopt similar strategies, the country wouldn’t be this poor,” he added.
Dr. Forkuo further highlighted how digitalization has simplified everyday life for Ghanaians.
“Because of digitalization, someone can be in the office or anywhere and order food or items without even providing an address — and it will be delivered right to their doorstep,” he noted.
He urged Ghanaians to appreciate and protect Dr. Bawumia’s leadership vision.
“Bawumia is a genius. He is dreaming big for the betterment of this country. Those competing with him know the good in him. Ghanaians should protect him for his intelligence and good works. He’s winning massively with no fear,” Dr. Forkuo stated.
