Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2028 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to deliver a keynote address at the 2026 Africa Summit of the London School of Economics (LSE) on Saturday (28 March)

Bawumia will speak on the theme, “Artificial Intelligence and Unifying Borders in Africa,” outlining a vision for how AI could drive economic transformation across the continent and strengthen regional integration.

The summit will bring together policymakers, academics, students, and industry experts to discuss Africa’s development priorities and the role of emerging technologies in shaping the continent’s future.

Hon. Dr. Gideon Boako, spokesperson for Bawumia, confirmed the address in a statement on Tuesday.

The event is part of a growing series of Africa-focused summits at global institutions, highlighting the increasing attention on technological innovation and regional cooperation as key drivers for economic growth.
