The Managing Director of the Kinapharma Group, Dr. Kofi Nsiah-Poku, has been elected as the new President of the Association of Ghana Industries, AGI.

He takes over from outgoing president, Dr. Humphrey Ayim-Darke.

Dr. Nsiah-Poku secured the leadership position after a competitive race that included Chief Executive of Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Raphael Ayitey, among other contenders.

A seasoned consultant pharmacist, Dr. Nsiah-Poku brings decades of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and food processing.

He is widely recognised for building Kinapharma into one of West Africa’s leading pharmaceutical companies, with operations across Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia, and over 150 products on the market.

He is also the brain behind Healthilife Beverages, producers of one of the country’s most popular juice and dairy brands.

Beyond business, Dr. Nsiah-Poku is noted for his philanthropic work, supporting initiatives in health, education, sports and Christian outreach.

The new AGI President is an old student of Opoku Ware School, where he previously served as Assistant School Prefect.

His election signals a period of renewed focus on industrial expansion, export competitiveness and stronger advocacy for Ghana’s manufacturing sector.
