The national leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will meet to address challenges that have emerged in the first week of the party’s nationwide membership registration exercise, the party’s National Organiser said on Sunday.
Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, said the party’s National Secretariat had scheduled a meeting for Monday (9 March) to review the issues reported across various polling stations and outline measures to improve the process.
Boakye made the remarks after attending and monitoring the registration exercise at a polling station at Buokrom Estate, D-Line in the Manhyia North Constituency of the Ashanti Region.
“Following the first week of the exercise, several challenges have been identified,” he said, adding that the leadership meeting would discuss the concerns and determine how to resolve them.
The NPP is currently conducting a nationwide exercise aimed at updating its membership register and enrolling new members ahead of future party activities.
Boakye said the party wanted to reassure members and prospective applicants that steps were being taken to ensure the process runs smoothly.
“The party wishes to reassure all members and prospective applicants that measures are being put in place to ensure a smooth and efficient registration process for everyone,” he said.
The registration exercise is being carried out at polling station levels across the country, with party officials monitoring the process and reporting operational challenges to the national leadership for review.
