JUST IN: Hearts of Oak Face Court Action Over Rene Hiddink Debt – Lawyer Warns

Accra Hearts of Oak are set to face fresh legal action after failing to settle outstanding payments owed to their former technical director, Rene Hiddink.

In an exclusive interview with Original 91.9FM, UK-based football manager and solicitor David Peter Winnie, who represents Hiddink, disclosed that lawyers in Accra have been instructed to file a writ at the High Court of Ghana against the Phobians.

“Hearts of Oak are still refusing to pay the money. We have just instructed lawyers in Accra to go to the High Court in Ghana to obtain a writ against the club. We will have it enforced locally. In short, we will knock on their front door to demand payment,” Winnie said.

He further warned that if the club fails to honor the debt, his legal team will push for the seizure of club assets to satisfy the judgment.

“If the club refuse to pay, we will instruct the lawyers to seize assets of the club to satisfy payment of the money,” he added.

The legal threat adds another layer of pressure on Hearts of Oak, who are already battling reports of unpaid player salaries. The case, if filed, could mark one of the most high-profile enforcement actions against a Ghana Premier League giant in recent years.
