Kevin-Prince Boateng reveals how his wife changed his life by leading him to church

Former Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng has opened up about the life-changing moment that led him to Christianity, an experience he says began the very first time he stepped into a church.

Boateng recounted how, long before they became a couple, his wife felt spiritually compelled to help him heal from years of emotional trauma. She invited him to church, believing it would be the first step toward his restoration.

Stepping into the church for the first time, he admitted, was both unfamiliar and intimidating, and he almost turned back while battling doubts.

“I kept telling myself, ‘Don’t go. Tell her you’re sick.’ So many voices were in my head. I was standing in front of the church, looking at these people with the Bibles going inside, thinking, ‘What am I doing here? I can’t do it,’” he shared.

But the moment he entered, something shifted. He felt the presence of God immediately.

“After five minutes, I don’t know what happened, something inside me… I just stood up, lifted my hands, and started crying. The spirit hit me with so much conviction, and I felt so sorry. That was the moment I decided to give my life to God,” he said.

He added that, despite his tattoos and past lifestyle, he has since learned to fully submit to the will of God and redirect his life according to the Almighty’s ways.
