Police have arrested three men for their alleged involvement in a shooting incident at the Celebrity Golf Club area in Sakumono, Accra.

The suspects, 28-year-old Abubakar Mohammed, 23-year-old Eric Asare, and 48-year-old Felix Darko, were picked up by the Sakumono District Police on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

According to police, the men posed as National Security operatives and stormed a construction site belonging to an executive of the golf club, where they allegedly opened fire and damaged parts of the property.

Preliminary investigations suggest the attack is linked to an ongoing land dispute involving parties connected to the Nungua Traditional Council.

All three suspects are in custody as investigations continue.

The Accra Regional Police Command has urged the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands, especially in land-related matters. It said anyone found guilty of such acts will face the full consequences of the law.
