Deputy National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Chris Lloyd Nii Kwei, has declared his intention to contest for the party’s National Youth Organiser position, promising to use his experience to develop the next generation of youth leaders.

In a statement announcing his bid, Nii Kwei said he had served the party at every level and understood the demands of grassroots mobilisation and party organisation.

Experience

He said his political journey began as a Polling Station Youth Organiser before serving as Polling Station Chairman, Volunteer Group Coordinator and a member of the Greater Accra Regional Youth Wing’s 14-member Finance and Planning Committee during the party’s years in opposition.

Nii Kwei also served as Odododiodioo Constituency Organiser and is currently the party’s Deputy National Organiser.

He said his experience included serving on several demonstration committees, supervising internal party elections from the constituency to the national level, and participating in by-election committees.

“I have worked through all the structures of our party,” he said.

Focus on youth development

Nii Kwei said he had experienced both victory and defeat in party politics and believed the NPP needed experienced leadership at every level.

He said his ambition was not only to serve as National Youth Organiser but also to mentor and prepare young members of the party for future leadership roles.

“I am not seeking this role just to do the work. I am here to build the next generation of youth leaders for our party — to motivate them, inspire them, and prepare them for the future,” he said.
