Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, Patrick Boamah, has called on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to prioritize unity, peace, and strong internal structures as the party prepares for its upcoming primaries and the next general election.
He has urged delegates to vote peacefully and transparently during Saturday’s primaries, emphasizing that the party must emerge united and stronger after the internal contest.
According to Mr. Boamah, the focus should not only be on internal party processes but also on making the NPP more attractive to Ghanaians beyond its traditional support base. He stressed that putting robust party structures in place after the primaries would be key to broadening the party’s appeal ahead of the elections.
Mr. Boamah noted that unity after the primaries would be critical to the NPP’s chances in the next election, adding that a peaceful and credible process would strengthen public confidence in the party.
He concluded by encouraging delegates to exercise their voting rights responsibly in the interest of party cohesion and national democracy.
