The Ghana Education Service (GES) has sharply condemned a recent assault on a teacher at Kade Senior High Technical School (SHTS) in the Eastern Region, promising firm action against all individuals involved.

In a statement issued on December 10, GES assured the public of its unwavering support for the affected teacher and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding all educators in the line of duty.

“The GES views this act of violence with the utmost seriousness and will work closely with authorities to ensure that those responsible face the full rigors of the law,” the statement noted.

Although specific details surrounding the incident were not disclosed, GES said it is treating the matter with urgency and is collaborating with law enforcement and other relevant bodies to ensure a thorough response.

The Service further appealed to students, parents, and the wider community to respect and uphold the dignity of teachers, stressing that acts of violence against educators will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
