The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has counseled all aspirants that will vie for national offices to strictly adhere to the party’s code of conduct. The party has issued a stern warning against personal attacks, unsanctioned allegations, and actions that could divide the party.

Briefing the media at a press conference at the party’s headquarters in Accra, General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua disclosed the respective fees aspirants must pay to contest for national positions.

He mentioned that candidates for National Chairman will pay GHC50,000, Vice Chairpersons GHC30,000, and General Secretary GHC 25,000.

Aspirants for Special Roles, Nasara, Women, Youth, and Persons with Disability positions are required to pay GHC8,000 each.

Mr. Kodua noted that all national officer elections will be governed by digital guidelines prepared in consultation with the National Executive Committee, and these guidelines will be presented in due course.

He warned that aspirants must campaign on issues, avoid personal attacks or vilification of opponents, and refrain from any activity that could polarize the party along tribal, religious, or other divisive lines.

Supporters of aspirants are also expected to follow these rules.

Mr. Kodua described the guidelines as detailed instructions to ensure a fair, transparent, and harmonious internal election process.
