Ghana’s Black Princesses have been paired with Uganda U-20 Women in the final round of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, as the race for a place at the global showpiece intensifies.

The Princesses sealed their passage to the decisive round with a 3–2 aggregate victory over South Africa U-20 Women.

After being held to a 2–2 draw at the Baba Yara Stadium, Ghana showed grit and discipline in the return leg, edging a 1–0 win in Johannesburg courtesy of a decisive strike from Priscilla Mensah.

Uganda, meanwhile, booked their place in the final round after overcoming Zambia U-20 Women. A 1–1 home draw was followed by a vital 1–0 away win, enough to send the East Africans through to the last stage of the qualifiers.

Ghana are targeting an eighth consecutive appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, having featured at every edition since making their debut in 2010.

The final round will be contested over two legs in May 2026, with matches scheduled between May 1 and 10.

The four aggregate winners will book their tickets to the World Cup finals in Poland.
