Presidential Candidate aspirant and Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has pledged to make the fight against poverty the central focus of his administration if elected to lead the country.
Speaking during his campaign engagements with all former executives, MMDCEs and MP’s, Dr. Adutwum described poverty as Ghana’s greatest challenge, stressing that his government would introduce pragmatic measures to uplift the youth and empower communities.
“We are going to wage war against the virtuous cycle of poverty and replace it with a virtuous cycle of prosperity”
According to him, this can be achieved by ensuring that development reaches the very doorsteps of the people.
Dr. Adutwum emphasized that poverty is painful and must be tackled with all seriousness, noting that his government would prioritize initiatives aimed at creating opportunities and improving livelihoods.
Outlining part of his vision, the former Education Minister said he would transform existing Business Research Centers into “Prosperity Centers” to provide greater opportunities for entrepreneurs, businessmen, and women across the country.
He maintained that by equipping young people and supporting businesses, Ghana can break free from poverty and build a prosperous future for all.
