The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has concluded the nationwide exhibition of its voter register ahead of the party’s presidential primary scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026. The exercise ended on Monday, January 5, 2026, after commencing on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

The exhibition was conducted across all 276 constituencies nationwide and formed a crucial part of preparations toward the upcoming presidential primary. It was aimed at ensuring transparency and credibility in the party’s internal electoral process.

According to the Presidential Elections Committee (PEC), the exercise allowed delegates and key stakeholders to verify their personal details and eligibility on the voters’ register. This step was intended to improve the accuracy of the final register to be used for voting.

In a statement signed by the Secretary to the PEC, William Yamoah, the Committee said the exhibition enabled delegates to confirm their records at both constituency and regional levels. Party members were encouraged to report any discrepancies identified during the process.

These discrepancies included missing names, misspellings, incorrect photographs, or other errors that could affect the integrity of the register. The PEC stressed that resolving such issues before the primary is essential to a smooth and credible election.

The NPP presidential primary will feature five aspirants: Former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, Dr Bryan Acheampong, former Education Minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, and former General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyepong. With the exhibition completed, the party is expected to finalise the delegates’ register for use in the January 31 vote.
