We Need Luck and Determination To Beat Wydad At Home-Sarfo Duku

Asante Kotoko’s Communications Director, Lawyer Sarfo Duku, expressed confidence that the Ghanaian giants can overcome Wydad Casablanca in their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup second-leg playoff clash.

The match, set to take place this evening in Morocco, follows a narrow 1-0 defeat for Kotoko in the first leg at Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Gideon Okyere Anim (Gattuso) on Original TV, Sarfo Duku emphasized the importance of “luck” and the team’s unwavering “determination and confidence” ahead of this crucial encounter.

“We need luck in the second leg, because the first match was very close,” Duku said. “But with the kind of resolve and spirit at Kotoko camp, we believe we can take the fight to Wydad on their own home ground.”

The Kumasi-based club will face an uphill task to overturn the first-leg deficit against one of Africa’s most decorated clubs, Wydad Casablanca. However, Duku remains hopeful, citing the strength and unity within the Kotoko squad.

“We’ve seen the hunger in the players, and I’m confident they can turn this around. The fans should believe that we will give it our all,” he added.
