Why Nana B is trending after NPP’s 2025 National Delegates Conference

The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has been trending on social media following the circulation of a viral video.

In the video, which has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), the NPP member is seen approaching a group of well-built men, commonly referred to in the local parlance as “macho men.”

At the time, the group was holding a meeting, and Nana B attempted to engage them in conversation. One of the men responded in Twi, saying, “Wait, we’re coming.”

The comment appeared to infuriate Nana B, who reacted angrily, saying, “Look at the nonsense, look at how he’s talking to me.”

His outburst drew backlash on social media, with some netizens criticising him for disrespecting the men’s ongoing meeting.

Others accused him of arrogance, citing his dismissive tone and intrusion as inappropriate.

Some users also mocked him for being snubbed despite his senior position within the party.

The 2025 NPP National Delegates Conference took place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on July 19, 2025.

The event brought together delegates from across the country to deliberate on key party issues ahead of the flagbearer elections scheduled for January 31, 2026.

One of the major outcomes of the conference was the delegates’ rejection of a proposal to lower the youth age limit from 40.
