Prophet Emmanuel Worlasi, Head Pastor of Conquerors Chapel International in Kumasi, has predicted that former vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will win the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries scheduled for January 31, insisting the outcome is already “sealed” in the spiritual realm.
Speaking on Good Afternoon Ghana on Metro TV on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, Prophet Worlasi said despite the intense competition and public support for other contenders, Dr Bawumia would emerge victorious.
“Where I’m sitting, even if the election is held today or tomorrow, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is going to win,” he confidentially said.
“It is the determined will of God. Nothing will change it,” the Kumasi-based prophet said.
According to the prophet, the Ashanti Region will play a decisive role in the outcome of the primaries.
He predicted that former Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong would not secure more than 30 per cent of the votes in the region.
“Ashanti Region will decide everything,” he said.
“Honourable Kennedy Agyapong will not get more than 30 per cent in Ashanti. Dr Bawumia will be hovering around 60 to 70 per cent there, and that will change everything nationally.”
He added that although the overall results would be close, Dr Bawumia would still win, prompting disputes after the primaries.
“The election will be very close nationally,” Prophet Worlasi said. “Kennedy Agyapong will not admit the results. He will go to court. There will be issues.”
The Kumasi-based cleric said his confidence was based on what he described as a vision he received during a period of fasting and prayer around his birthday in May last year.
“I saw people wearing Kennedy Agyapong shirts entering the voting booth, and when they came out, they were wearing Dr Bawumia’s shirt,” he said.
“There will be a lot of noise that Kennedy Agyapong is winning, but after the voting, people will be shocked,” he claimed.
Prophet Emmanuel Worlasi stressed that his prophecies were not guesses or political alignments.
“I am not NDC or NPP. I deal with my visions and what the Lord tells me.”
Prophet Worlasi also raised concerns about possible unrest during the primaries, particularly in the Ashanti Region, where he claimed to have seen attempts to interfere with ballot boxes.
“I saw someone trying to pick a ballot box in the Ashanti Region,” he said, adding that there would be “a lot of tension” around the process.
He further claimed he had warned a Member of Parliament from the Eastern Region about a plot to attack him during the elections.
“I saw a meeting where plans were made to hurt him,” he said.
“In the vision, he was shot but did not die. We have dealt with it spiritually, and it will not manifest.”
During the interview, Prophet Worlasi addressed conflicting prophecies by other men of God, including Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun, who has publicly suggested Kennedy Agyapong would win the primaries.
“I respect Prophet ElBernard. He is a powerful man of God,” he said.
“But what the Lord has shown me will surely come to pass, even if it is contrary to any other prophecy.”
He rejected suggestions of rivalry, explaining that any tension had largely come from supporters on social media.
“There is no competition,” he said. “God is the only powerful one. He is just looking for availability.”
Prophet Worlasi also dismissed the chances of other aspirants, predicting that former Trade Minister Dr Bryan Acheampong would not win either the current or future NPP primaries.
“As for Dr Bryan Acheampong, he is not going to win this one or the next one,” he said.
Prophet Worlasi was even more blunt about the prospects of another aspirant.
“He should not have wasted his time and money. He will not even get more than two per cent.”
Looking beyond the NPP, the prophet claimed the NDC’s 2028 flagbearer race would be between Asiedu Nketia and Julius Debrah, but said the Chief of Staff would not win due to “things that have been done against him spiritually”.
Throughout the interview, Prophet Worlasi repeatedly insisted his record spoke for itself.
“For the past 16 years, none of my words has fallen to the ground,” he said.
“That’s why when I speak, it carries weight.”
Asked whether he was worried about being wrong, he replied confidently in the negative.
“After January 31, everything will be clear.”
