Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President and a presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is set to begin a five-day campaign tour of the Western Region from Saturday, November 1 to Wednesday, November 5, 2025, as part of his nationwide engagements ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.

A statement issued by the Western Regional Campaign Directorate and signed by Issah Fuseini, Head of the Directorate, said the visit forms part of Dr. Bawumia’s broader strategy to connect with NPP delegates and stakeholders across the country.

According to the release, “the former Vice President will embark on a five-days campaign tour of the Western Region from Saturday, 1st November to Wednesday 5th November, 2025.”

Throughout the tour, Dr. Bawumia is expected to interact with party delegates across all seventeen (17) constituencies in the region, sharing what the Directorate describes as “his message of hope, unity, and progress for both the party and Ghana.”

The statement further indicated that the tour will enable Dr. Bawumia to articulate his vision for sustaining Ghana’s digital transformation and economic recovery efforts. “The tour will provide an opportunity for Dr. Bawumia to outline his vision for sustaining Ghana’s digital transformation agenda, strengthening the economy, and advancing the welfare of ordinary citizens,” it noted.

It added that the engagement will also reaffirm Dr. Bawumia’s “commitment to inclusive leadership that places the grassroots at the heart of decision-making.”

The Western Regional Campaign Directorate has, therefore, called on all NPP members and supporters to come out in their numbers to welcome the flagbearer hopeful and participate in the engagements.

“The Western Regional Campaign Directorate encourages all party members to actively participate in the engagements and demonstrate their unwavering support as we work together to secure victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party on the 31st January, 2026 elections,” the statement concluded.

Dr. Bawumia’s Western Region tour follows a series of regional visits across the country, as he intensifies his campaign ahead of the NPP presidential primaries.
