I tried to avert the tragedy but government officials failed me – Owusu Bempah alleges

Leader of the Glorious Word Power, Isaac Owusu Bempah, has made a shocking revelation that he foresaw in the spiritual realm that a heartbreaking calamity was about to befall the country, but all efforts to get people in authority to act decisively failed.

According to Bempah, who is well-known for his spiritual prophecies about regrettable developments, the tragedy that befell the nation could have been averted if government officials had heeded his calls about three months ago.

Speaking to his congregation about the said calamity (helicopter crash), he stressed that his incessant calls on some government officials were a wake-up call, but they were downplayed.

“I talked to the Archbishop and told him I have been trying to call, but I hardly get anyone. I called somebody for three months and informed him about a looming tragedy, but we couldn’t meet.

“I wanted to discuss with him so that we can see his bosses and find a way to deal with it, but he always had one excuse or the other to give me for three months and never showed up,” he added.

According to Bempah, it will be entirely out of place for any person to sit and wonder whether the prophets did not see it coming because he foresaw it and did his best to avert it, but he did not get the other actors to act accordingly.

He recounted, “I told Archbishop to inform Opanyin (Mahama) to avoid local flights or travelling by flights within the country, otherwise the news will be bad, and Archbishop is my witness.”

Following the tragedy that befell the entire nation on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, when a military helicopter crashed and killed all eight persons onboard, many have been asking why the prophets did not see and stop the tragedy from happening.

While some people have accused the prophets of engaging in imagination and sorcery, others have raised questions about the genuineness of the prophecies they come out with.

According to Owusu Bempah, he foresaw it coming and made the necessary contacts to avert it, but government officials he contacted did not show interest in his prophecy.
