The Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has launched an Apprenticeship-to-Master Skills Training Programme to equip young people with practical vocational skills and promote economic self-reliance.
Over 150 apprentices received tool kits and BizBox packages to kickstart their trades, including carpentry, plumbing, hairdressing, and makeup artistry.
The programme aims to combat youth unemployment and drive local economic growth. Hon. Anim plans to train 300 more youth later this year, investing GH¢500,000 in the initiative.
He will monitor progress with monthly visits to master artisans, ensuring apprentices apply their skills effectively.
Beneficiaries praised the programme as a “life-changing opportunity,” promising to contribute to Kumawu’s development.
