EFFIDUASE, ASHANTI REGION – Delegates of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Effiduase in the Ashanti Region have openly declared their support for Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, describing him as the candidate best positioned to secure victory for the party in the next elections.

Meeting as part of Dr. Adutwum’s Hope Tour on Friday, September 26, the delegates, who are mainly past executives of the NPP in the Ashanti Region, voiced their confidence in the former Education Minister’s leadership and vision. According to them, his track record, humility, and commitment to grassroots development make him the right choice to lead the party.

Gathered under the Effiduase group, the meeting brought together former constituency executives from Effiduase Asokore, Ejisu, Juaben, Kumawu, and Sekyere Afram Plains.

The delegates strongly asserted that Dr. Adutwum’s leadership represents the hope of the NPP in its quest to break the eight. They rallied around him with the firm declaration: “Let’s hold Adutwum tight. He will win us power.”

The Effiduase meeting formed part of Day 2 of Dr. Adutwum’s Hope Campaign Tour, which is his first major outreach to delegates ahead of the NPP primaries. The tour is designed to interact with grassroots stakeholders, appeal to delegates, and present his vision for the future of the party and the nation.

Delegates praised Dr. Adutwum for his achievements in the education sector, including reforms in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and technical education. They maintained that his ability to translate policy into visible development makes him a unifying figure capable of attracting both the party’s core base and swing voters across the country.

The Ashanti Region, widely regarded as the NPP’s stronghold, has become the center of internal conversations about the party’s future leadership. The endorsement from the Effiduase group adds to the growing momentum for Dr. Adutwum as he continues to meet with party faithful across constituencies.

For the delegates, the message is clear: Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum is not just a candidate, but he is the vehicle of hope and the man they trust to deliver power to the NPP.
