The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially launched its amended constitution at a national ceremony attended by party executives, leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from across Ghana.

Describing the event as the beginning of a “new chapter,” party officials said the revised constitution strengthens internal structures and deepens democratic governance within the party.

Reaffirming its long-standing mantra, “NPP, Development in Freedom,” the party encouraged members and the public to engage actively with what it described as a historic milestone in its political evolution.

In a symbolic gesture, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the 2024 elections, purchased the first copy of the amended constitution for GH¢50,000. Party executives hailed the move as a demonstration of his loyalty and dedication to the NPP’s principles.

The launch is expected to enhance organisational cohesion and lay the foundation for the party’s future political and developmental agenda.
