THE BARE TEETH OF HYPOCRISY: Mahama Used God To Win. Now God is Inconvenient

Who is John Mahama? A shameless liar, or a calculated hypocrite? He used God to win an election. Now, God is an inconvenience.

For three years, the NDC roared for the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill as a financial chokehold against the Akufo-Addo administration. They knew exactly what they were doing. They looked at the faith demographic data: a 71% Christian population. They did the math. They didn’t need a vision; they needed a propaganda tool to provoke this massive community against the NPP. They invented the “Moral Emergency” to snatch the keys to the Jubilee House before a single ballot was cast on December 7, 2024.

It was never about family values; it was a demographic heist. But the deception goes deeper than a spreadsheet. Outwardly, John Mahama plays the part of the devoted Christian with theatrical precision. He wears the faith like a tailored suit, perfect for the camera, but discarded in the dressing room. But look at the fruit. Is he a man of faith in his heart, or a man of the mask?

The flip-flop on the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill reveals a chilling truth: He fakes. He fakes the conviction to get to the Jubilee House, then fakes the “economic necessity” to stay there. He doesn’t just lie to the electorate; he mocks the very altar he stands before. He uses the pulpit as a stage and the Bible as a conduit for his own ambition.

The NDC set out to provoke Ghana’s bilateral partners, trigger credit freezes, and orchestrate aid suspensions. They succeeded at every count. They watched a post-COVID economy bleed while they positioned themselves as the moral saviors of the Ghanaian soul. Sadly, this was a cold-blooded pursuit of power. The Anti-LGBTQ+ bill was a bomb; Akufo-Addo was the target; and Ghana was the collateral damage. They won. The bomb served its purpose. Now, it is a nuisance.

On March 24, 2026, Lincoln University rescinds Mahama’s “top of the hype” honorary doctorate. The reason? The same bill he championed from the safety and “hungry-for-power” opposition-dusty-room. Watch how fast conviction becomes an embarrassment. Before the World Affairs Council, the “emergency” evaporated into thin air. Suddenly, “LGBTQ+ is not the most important issue we face.” It is now like Akufo-Addo’s pain points:

Jobs.

Food.

Healthcare.

The bill that was going to “save our soul” in 2023 has been disgracefully filed under “procedural garbage” in 2026.

John Mahama did not abandon the bill because Ghana changed; he abandoned it because the World Bank was watching. The creditors he once weaponized against his predecessor are now the masters he must serve to fund his own political survival. The man who set the financial trap has walked straight into it, and the Ghanaian taxpayer is paying for both the trap and the bait!

Oh, Holy shit! Our clergy, the ultimate victims of this spiritual fraud. Let us be brutally blunt: the clergy were never part of the NDC’s wicked motives. They were not co-conspirators; they were the “targets of harvest.” They were ignorant of the mechanical cynicism being engineered in the NDC’s strategy rooms. They were fooled by professional actors: The John. The George. And all the bought voices of the pulpit. They were played and lured into a “Moral Crusade” that was actually a financial ambush against the state.

On March 27, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference issued a statement of “fraternal solidarity.” They offered prayers for Mahama’s “wisdom” while the very values they were tricked into marching for are being traded for World Bank concessions. The pulpit’s thundering silence today is the silence of an institution that has been outmaneuvered. Deceived. And embarrassed. They helped him climb the ladder of faith, and now they are standing at the bottom, confused, as he kicks it away to shake hands with the creditors.

John Mahama used the faith of ordinary Ghanaians as a campaign instrument. He used a bill he never intended to sign to pose as the defender of African values, while simultaneously drafting begging letters to the same Western creditors he claimed to defy. John didn’t just lie to the people; he deceived the shepherds of the people. The Men of God.

Ghana’s soul was never the issue. Ghana’s votes were the issue. Now that the votes are counted and the creditors are waiting, the soul can wait in the hallway. The Republic is no longer watching the propaganda; we are auditing the architects of this spiritual fraud.

John Mahama: The bill was either a conviction or a calculation. By your own mouth, you have confessed it was the latter.
