ACCRA – The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed as false a recruitment letter being circulated on social media, warning the public to ignore it.

The letter, which claims that financial clearance has been given for the recruitment of 50,000 teaching and non-teaching staff, did not come from the Service, according to management.

In a statement dated Sunday, September 21, 2025, and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenny, the GES said: “Management wishes to state that the letter is FAKE and did not originate from GES. No such recruitment exercise has been announced yet.”

GES clarified that when recruitment is officially opened, it will be communicated solely through the Service’s official platforms and those of the Ministry of Education.

The statement added: “The public is advised to disregard the fake letter and report any fraudulent activities linked to it.”

The Service is urging all job seekers and the general public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to scams.
