The General Overseer of Spiritlife Revival Ministries, Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun, has reaffirmed his vision that Kennedy Agyapong will emerge as the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2028 general elections.
It will be recalled that in a Facebook post on May 3, 2025, Prophet Elbernard described a spiritual experience where he witnessed internal party deliberations doubting Agyapong’s leadership capabilities.
However, the vision revealed strong support from the youth rallying behind Agyapong, leading to a nationwide movement that eventually swayed party elites to endorse him as flagbearer.
In a video that surfaced online on June 29, 2025, the prophet reiterated that Agyapong’s prophecy will come to pass, just as he predicted earlier.
He emphasised that he is not perturbed by the derogatory remarks he has received from a section of the public following his pronouncement.
“I’m telling you again that the Lord told me Kennedy Agyapong will become the flagbearer of NPP after their primaries. Do you know the treatment I received during the 2024 election? Ask them whether I ran.
“They brought their gang; ask them whether I ran. I showed them where I am; they should try. And you’re looking insulted. So, some of you, I don’t know what you’re serving,” he said while preaching to his congregants.
Prophet Elbernard stressed that with the God he serves, nobody can intimidate him with threats or lies to keep mute about prophecies.
“I serve God, and my name is Bernard. The only thing you can choose to do is lie against me. What lies can you tell? You say I’m not from God because you’re unsure of your own origin,” he stated.
Kennedy Agyapong, a seasoned politician and businessman, served as the Member of Parliament for Assin Central until January 2025.
He will be vying with former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Agriculture minister, Dr Byran Acheampong, former Minister of Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwm and others for the NPP flagbearer position in the upcoming primaries.
