They can go to hell – Frimpong-Boateng rejects NPP disciplinary threats

Former Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation, Prof. Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, has rejected attempts by the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to discipline or expel him, insisting the party does not belong to a select group of individuals.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Prof. Frimpong-Boateng said some party executives lack the authority to sanction him, stressing that he does not recognise them as the true leaders of the NPP.

According to him, he has remained loyal to the party over the years and is only speaking out of genuine concern for its future.

He expressed anger over claims that his comments are intended to distract the party, noting that he has never felt this upset before.

Prof. Frimpong-Boateng further revealed that he was informed at one point that the General Secretary wanted to meet him, but no follow-up was made.

“They cannot expel me from the party because it does not belong to them. I do not recognise them as the true NPP. No amount of kneeling will convince me otherwise,” he said.

“I am expressing my anger because I feel I am being unfairly targeted to divert attention from more important issues. I have never felt this angry before,” he added.

He continued, “Some time ago, someone told me the General Secretary wanted to meet me, but since then I have heard nothing. I have been loyal to the party all these years, and now they want to discipline me simply for speaking the truth? They can all go to hell.”
