The Ashanti Region New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency chairmen and their executives have pledged their full and unflinching support to the party’s flagbearer-elect, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The pledge was made on Tuesday, February 3, when all 47 constituency chairmen and their executives in the region paid a courtesy visit to Dr. Bawumia at his private residence following his victory in the party’s presidential primaries.

Speaking to the media, Spokesperson for the Ashanti Regional NPP Constituency Chairmen, Frederick Agyemang Mensah, said the visit was to thank God for the progress of the party and to congratulate Dr. Bawumia on what he described as a “loud and resounding victory.”

“We have converged here this afternoon to give thanks to the Almighty God for how far He has brought us as a party, as a region, and as a caucus,” he said.

Mr. Mensah said the chairmen are committed to working under the leadership of the flagbearer-elect and are ready to follow his direction as the party prepares for the next general elections.

“Having been elected as flagbearer of the party, we are committing ourselves to his direction. We assure him of our full and unflinching support,” he stated.

He added that the constituency leadership in the Ashanti Region is awaiting Dr. Bawumia’s agenda and will work tirelessly to ensure its successful implementation.
