Bawumia is NPP’s surest bet for 2028 elections – Bono East Chairman

The Bono East Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Ibrahim Bukari Baba, has endorsed Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the party’s best bet for the 2028 general elections.

Mr Baba said all five presidential aspirants are capable leaders but emphasised that delegates should vote for Bawumia due to his experience in governance.

“Dr Bawumia’s long experience at the highest levels of governance gives him a clear advantage,” Mr Baba stated. “He has been at the centre of national politics for nearly two decades, and we believe he is the surest bet to lead the party to victory in 2028,” he further shared.

Chairman IB advised delegates not to be swayed by money or material gifts, prioritising the party’s interest over personal benefits. “If our ultimate aim is to win power in 2028, then we should think about the party’s larger interest first and not our personal benefits,” he stressed.

He urged supporters to abide by party regulations and laws during the January 31 presidential primaries, cautioning that any attempts to flout the rules would be met with consequences.

“Let’s comport ourselves and strictly abide by all instructions and regulations the Party leadership, Electoral Commission, and Ghana Police Service have laid down for the conduct of the primaries,” he said.
