Dr. Francis Adomako, a prominent figure within New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, has officially declared his intention to contest the Ashanti Regional Secretary position, anchoring his campaign on a fierce call for a structural return to the party’s core values of institutional respect and internal discipline.
The declaration comes at a pivotal period of internal rebuilding for the NPP in its traditional stronghold of the Ashanti Region following the 2024 general elections. Addressing party delegates, stakeholders, and grassroots organizers in Kumasi, Dr. Adomako emphasized that restoring the party’s national political dominance begins with healing internal fractures and intentionally honoring the contributions of the party’s elders, veterans, and founding members.
“The soul of the New Patriotic Party is built on tradition, loyalty, and deep respect for those who laid the foundational stones of our movement,” Dr. Adomako stated. He warned that the increasing disregard for veteran voices and the creeping trend of internal insolence among certain factions risk alienating the party’s core base. He maintained that a political party that fails to respect its institutional memory cannot effectively mobilize the grassroots or inspire confidence in the electorate.
If elected as Regional Secretary, Dr. Adomako has promised to run an administrative engine room characterized by open-door communication, structural transparency, and localized conflict resolution. He urged delegates to look past financial inducements and vote for leadership that possesses the academic, organizational, and ethical capacity to unite the region. His primary objective remains building a fiercely united and operationally disciplined Ashanti regional front capable of executing a robust, grassroots-driven campaign to return the NPP to power in the 2028 general elections.
