The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), Central Region, has announced a power outage in the Kasoa South District following damage to transformers serving parts of the area.

According to the notice issued on Wednesday, 1st July 2026, the affected communities include CP Top Hill no.1, CP Mosque, Iron City Mosque, Abakum, and surrounding areas. ECG explained that engineers are currently working to repair the fault and restore supply as quickly as possible.

The company expressed regret for the inconvenience caused and assured customers that every effort is being made to resolve the issue.

This development highlights the continuing challenges of electricity infrastructure in fast-growing urban centres such as Kasoa, where demand pressures and equipment faults frequently disrupt supply. ECG has urged residents to remain patient as technical teams work to restore power.
