No Truth In AG’s Claims – Former NAFCO CEO Responds To Corruption Allegations

Former Chief Executive Officer of the National Food and Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO), Abdul-Wahab Hanan Aludiba, has issued a public rebuttal to recent corruption allegations made by Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine.

The Attorney General, during a press briefing on Wednesday, October 22, alleged that Mr. Aludiba acquired six luxury properties — estimated to be worth $3.3 million — using funds obtained through “proceeds of crime” during his tenure at NAFCO.

But shortly after the press event, Mr. Aludiba took to social media to firmly deny the allegations, calling them false, misleading, and without merit.

“My attention has been drawn to recent statements made by the Honourable Attorney General during a press engagement, in which my name was mentioned in connection with allegations of corruption,” his statement read.

“I categorically deny any wrongdoing. The claims made do not reflect the facts of the matter.”

According to the Attorney General, an ongoing investigation suggests that Mr. Aludiba amassed properties in prime locations, allegedly using illicit funds channeled through fraudulent contracts and food supply deals under NAFCO.

While the AG hinted that formal charges may follow, Mr. Aludiba insists he has no involvement in any such scheme and that the claims are “deeply unfortunate and damaging.”
