The aspiring National Chairman of the NPP, Hon. Boakye Agyarko, today met with the Northern Regional Council of Elders and Patrons as part of his ongoing stakeholder engagements.
In his remarks, Hon. Agyarko acknowledged that many party members, from the polling station level to the national level, remain dissatisfied. He stressed the need for the Party to reconnect with its grassroots, engage members, offer apologies where necessary, and work together in unity towards recapturing power.
He also appealed to the Elders and Patrons to play a more active role in fostering unity and helping to address the growing indiscipline that continues to impede the Party’s progress.
Hon. Agyarko assured the gathering that, under his chairmanship, he would rely heavily on the wisdom, experience, and counsel of the Party’s Elders at all levels in resolving internal disputes and strengthening cohesion within the Party.
In concluding, he reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Party’s Flagbearer, to secure a decisive victory for the NPP in the 2028 general elections.
He expressed his profound gratitude to the Elders and Patrons for their time, valuable counsel, and warm reception.
