The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has finalized the ballot order for its Presidential Primary, set for January 31, 2026, following a successful balloting exercise on Friday, October 10, 2025. The event, held at the party’s headquarters in Asylum Down, was conducted in collaboration with officials from the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

In a statement released on October 10, 2025, William Yamoh, Secretary of the Presidential Elections Committee, confirmed the outcome. The candidates will appear on the ballot in the following order: Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong, H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong. The draw, overseen with transparency, sets the stage for the upcoming primary contest.

The NPP expressed gratitude to all presidential candidates, their representatives, and Electoral Commission officials for their cooperation. “The Presidential Elections Committee reaffirms its unwavering commitment to transparency, fairness, and the highest democratic standards in the conduct of the presidential primary,” Yamoh stated.

With the balloting complete as of 12:29 p.m. GMT today, the focus shifts to campaign preparations ahead of the 2026 election. The NPP, guided by its motto “Development in Freedom,” aims to ensure a robust democratic process.
