Eight years in opposition, no lessons learned — Titus Glover criticises Mahama over power outages

Former Greater Accra Regional Minister and Tema East MP, Titus Glover, has criticised the current administration over the ongoing power outages, questioning its handling of the energy sector.

Speaking on Badwam on Adom TV, he argued that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has not demonstrated improvement despite eight years in opposition.

According to him, after spending eight years out of power, former President John Dramani Mahama should have gained valuable lessons on managing energy challenges.

“For eight years in opposition, he should have learned something, but he hasn’t,” he said.

Mr Glover further claimed that power outages have historically been associated with the NDC, insisting that the issue remains a recurring feature under the party.

He contrasted the current situation with what he described as relatively stable power supply during the tenure of former President Nana Akufo-Addo, noting that challenges during that period were minimal.

He maintained that the present difficulties highlight a lack of progress in addressing longstanding energy concerns.
