A member of the New Patriotic Party’s communications team, Emmanuel Senyo Amekplenu, has termed the apology of NDC’s Dr. Mary Awusi as coerced with no trace of remorse.
His objections were raised against his party rival, Mr Elikem Kotoko, who praised Awusi for her brilliance and smartness for her timely apology to the Church of Pentecost Chairman, Apostle Eric Nyamekye over his assertions that eminent baptismal challenges are rising due to illegal mining [galamsey].
To him, Dr. Mary Awusi’s apology was one done under coercion by Ghanaians and not out of guilt.
“The woman is not smart and not quick enough in rendering her apology, because it took Ghanaians to take her on before she tendered the apology “, he dismissed.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghana on Metro TV on Thursday, April 30, the NPP communications member described Awusi’s apology as “shambolic”, measuring it as one of a disorganised kind.
“Where from the clause she made as ‘if you think’. It’s lacks sincerity and lies below her educational qualifications”, he argued, noting that her statement lacks communication skills in measuring her outrage.
Emphasizing on the lithurgic authority of Apostle Eric Nyamekye, Mr. Amekplenu argued that the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority’s (GFZA) comments were uncalled for and have attracted major backlash from her colleagues.
“Her colleagues have descended on her on social Media with some calling for her immediate dismissal”, Senyo said.
