The Black Stars held their first training session on Wednesday as they stepped up preparations for the upcoming Kirin Cup clash against Japan.

Eighteen players were present when the team opened camp on Tuesday, with the remaining invitees expected to join the group later today.

Head coach Otto Addo supervised the session in Nagoya, where Ghana will face Japan on Friday, November 14.

The squad will hold their final training on Thursday, with a full complement of players expected to participate.

Kick-off for Friday’s encounter is set for 10:00 a.m.

Following the Japan fixture, the Black Stars will shift focus to their second friendly against South Korea in Seoul on November 18, which will also kick off at 10:00 a.m.

Both matches form part of Ghana’s build-up to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be staged in the United States, Canada, and Mexico next summer.
