The Koforidua High Court on Thursday, December 18, 2025, began the final hearing of the 2024 Parliamentary Election petition for the Suhum Constituency.

The petition was filed by former Member of Parliament, Kwadjo Asante-Oboafo, against the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, Frank Bekoe Asiedu, popularly known as Protozoa, along with other respondents.

At the start of proceedings, MP Frank Bekoe Asiedu was present in court and accompanied by his lead counsel, Gary Nimako, as the court prepared to receive final submissions from all parties involved.

The case challenges the outcome of the 2024 parliamentary election in Suhum, an issue that has continued to generate significant public and political interest since the polls were held.

The court is expected to carefully consider the final arguments before delivering its ruling on the closely watched petition.

Further updates will be provided as the hearing progresses.
