Mohammed Kudus to miss Ghana v Germany pre-World Cup friendly game due to thigh injury

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mohammed Kudus is set to miss Ghana’s upcoming friendly against Germany after sustaining a thigh injury.

The 25-year-old was forced off during the first half of last weekend’s Premier League clash with Sunderland, with scans revealing damage to both his tendon and quadriceps.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank confirmed on Thursday that Kudus will be sidelined until after the March international break.

“Kudus is a bigger one, to the tendon and quad, and don’t expect him back until after the March international break,” he said.

The midfielder is now projected to return in early April, leaving him available for only the final seven league fixtures of the season.

As a result, Kudus is expected to be omitted from Ghana’s squad for the March 30 friendly in Stuttgart.

His absence is a significant setback for the Black Stars, who view the match as a crucial preparation ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they will face England, Croatia, and Panama in Group L.

Ghana will also be without defender Mohammed Salisu, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season following an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
