Parliament will resume sitting on Thursday 21st May at 10:00 in the morning, according to a notice issued by the Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
The announcement, released by the Office of the Speaker and dated 4 May in Accra, said the House will begin the second meeting of the second session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic at Parliament House.
The notice was issued in line with the Standing Orders of Parliament, which regulate how and when parliamentary business is scheduled.
Members of Parliament are expected to return to the chamber after the House was adjourned on 27 March.
The sitting is set to reopen legislative work and national debate, with key issues likely to include the mid year budget review by the Finance Minister and consideration of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill.
The Speaker’s office said the meeting will allow the House to continue work on pending government business and other national matters.
