Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, says available data shows there is no realistic pathway for Kennedy Agyapong to win the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primary.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Mr Dankwah explained that for Mr Agyapong to stand a chance, the support base of former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would have had to decline significantly. Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, Mr Dankwah explained that for Mr Agyapong to stand a chance, the support base of former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia would have had to decline significantly.

“For Ken to win, Bawumia’s numbers should have dropped into the 30s, and I don’t see that happening. I have worked with data and I know how figures behave. From where I sit, there is no path for Ken to win,” he said.

According to data presented by Global InfoAnalytics among committed voters, Dr Bawumia leads the race with 51 per cent support, followed by Kennedy Agyapong with 26 per cent, while 23 per cent of respondents remain undecided.

Mr Dankwah noted that the wide margin points to a solid support base for Dr Bawumia, making it unlikely that any late surge by rival contenders would significantly alter the outcome of the contest.
