NPP’s executives must resign after losing Akwatia seat – Afia Pokua

Broadcast journalist Afia Pokua has urged all executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to resign from their leadership positions.

According to her, for the party to lose the Akwatia seat is an indication that the party needs a new direction under new leadership.

She made this known on Accra-based Okay FM while speaking.

“All executives of the NPP must resign after losing the Akwatia seat. If you cannot win your own constituency after the death of your MP, then there is a problem. What is even more baffling is that they were also beaten. Azorka, who is old and fragile, was able to beat you guys in your constituency; that is very worrying.”

“Look at Assin Central; you were in power, did all the construction, and still lost. NDC did what you did in Assin Central in Akwatia but won. This is very worrying and needs to be checked. The NPP needs a new direction,” she stated.
