Bryan Acheampong most credible among NPP flagbearer contenders — Campaign Spokesperson

Yaw Appeateng Yeboah, Campaign Spokesperson for Team Bryan Acheampong, has described the Abetifi MP as the most credible and unifying candidate among those seeking to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into the 2028 general elections.

Bryan Acheampong is one of the contenders in the NPP’s upcoming flagbearer race, aiming to position the party for victory in 2028.

Speaking on Channel One Newsroom on Sunday, October 5, 2025, Mr. Yeboah said Bryan Acheampong’s strong record in both public and private service makes him the standout choice to lead the party.

“In the face of us building the party, we need somebody that people can easily go to and work with, and that sets him apart. He is a successful entrepreneur and has shown that he is a business leader. In academics, he has shown it all — both in private life and public life. He has distinguished himself as a winner and a go-to person,” he said.

Mr. Yeboah stressed that the NPP must elect a leader who commands grassroots confidence and can unite the party ahead of 2028.

“So, we don’t have to look elsewhere if indeed we want to win the 2028 election. He is the best bet for the party, and the grassroots know. They know the one who understands them and is willing to work with them to bring the unity we are looking for,” he added.

He further asserted that,

“Currently, he is the most credible person among his contenders.”

Bryan Acheampong, who served as Minister for Food and Agriculture under the previous administration, is currently on a campaign tour of the Ashanti Region to court delegates’ support ahead of the NPP’s flagbearership election slated for January 31, 2026.
